INSTALLATION OF HP PRINTER DRIVER ON MAC
Always, ensure your computer system is turned on and properly connected to your printer either through wifi, wired network or a USB cable. Have to create a fresh print queue on Mac. So, to create a print queue, simply follow the given steps.
Step 1: Click on the Apple logo present on the upper left corner of the screen and select “System Preferences”.
Step 2: From the Hardware category, select the “Print and scan” option.
Step 3: Now click on the plus “+” icon which is on the bottom of the left pane.
Step 4: To add the settings automatically, you need to enter the hostname of your printer in the “Address” field. After that click on the “Add” option.
Step 5: Also set additional options and click on “OK”. Now your printer queue will be available through any print option. After creating a fresh queue, click on the “Apple” menu and select the “System Preferences” option. Next as per your operating system version, click on “System and fax”,” Print and scan” or “Printers and scanners” option. Then check carefully, whether your printer name is displayed on the printer’s list. If the name is listed, remove and read the printer to confirm the communication. In case your printer name is not listed, click the “+” sign. Choose the “Add printer or scanner” option and choose the name of your printer. Here select the “Use” or “Print using” menu and select the name of your printer. Click on “Add” to add to the printer’s list . Then, click on “Download and install” to complete the installation process when prompted. Now click on the “Cancel” option if you receive the message stating “Software is currently unavailable” and try to manually install the driver. Close the System Preferences window once you complete the HP printer driver installation on Mac.
